Meet Ao
Hi, I'm Ao, a Functional Longevity Specialist, Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher, and Self-Myofascial Release Instructor based in Qatar.
My professional foundation began with five years of study in Clinical Medicine from 2000 to 2005. In 2015, I began my journey in fitness and movement, later developing my work around healthy ageing, functional training, yoga, mobility, balance, and self-myofascial release education.
Today, I combine my medical background with movement-based coaching to help adults 50+ build strength, mobility, balance, flexibility, posture, and confidence for everyday life.
I focus on movement quality. Each program is designed to be safe, effective, and adapted to the individual, including clients with chronic health conditions, joint limitations, pain concerns, or age-related movement challenges.
Whether your goal is to walk more comfortably, improve balance, build strength, move with less discomfort, return to activities you enjoy, or maintain independence as you age, my approach is calm, personalized, and purposeful.

How I work
We start with your goals, health history, movement ability, limitations and daily-life needs.
A functional movement assessment identifies strengths, restrictions and movement quality.
Sessions are tailored to your goals, movement ability and your body's needs, combining the most appropriate mix of strength, mobility, balance, yoga-inspired movement, breathwork and myofascial release techniques.
We review your progress and adjust your training to support safe, appropriate progression over time.
My coaching is primarily designed for adults aged 50 and over who want to move well, stay strong, and enjoy an active, independent life. Whether you're overcoming physical challenges or simply want to stay healthy, maintain good posture, and age with strength and confidence, every training programme is tailored to your individual needs, goals, and current ability.
Functional longevity means maintaining the strength, mobility, balance, and confidence to enjoy everyday life for as long as possible. My goal isn't simply to help you exercise — it's to help you keep doing, or get back to doing, the things you enjoy, whether that's walking comfortably, climbing stairs, travelling, gardening, or playing with your grandchildren.
In many cases, yes. With the right approach, staying active is often an important part of maintaining joint health and supporting everyday movement. Before we begin, we'll discuss your health, medical history, current symptoms, and movement ability to make sure your training programme is safe and appropriate for you. If needed, I'll also recommend that you consult your GP or healthcare professional before starting.
Not at all. Many of my clients begin with little or no recent exercise experience. We start at a level that feels safe and manageable for your body, then gradually build strength, mobility, balance, and confidence at your own pace.
Your first session is all about getting to know you and understanding how your body moves. We'll discuss your health, medical history, any movement concerns, and goals, then complete a simple health screening and a few functional movement assessments. This gives us a clear starting point and allows me to design a personalised training programme that's safe, effective, and tailored to your needs.
My coaching focuses on improving the quality of your movement, not simply burning calories or lifting heavier weights. Every exercise has a purpose — to help you move more comfortably, improve strength and balance, reduce unnecessary strain on your joints, and support healthy ageing. My goal is to help you build a stronger, more capable body that supports your everyday life.
Everyone progresses at their own pace, depending on their starting point and training frequency. Many clients begin to notice improvements in confidence, mobility, strength, balance, and everyday movement within a few weeks of consistent training. Regular reassessments help us measure your progress objectively and adjust your programme as needed. Long-term results come from consistency, gradual progression, and sustainable habits — not quick fixes.
The ideal training frequency depends on your goals, current fitness level, and lifestyle. Most clients benefit from two or three sessions per week, supported by a personalised home exercise programme to help maintain progress between sessions. Together, we'll find a training schedule that's realistic, effective, and sustainable for you.
Yes. I offer one-to-one coaching in Al Khor, Qatar, at your home or another suitable location, as well as online coaching for clients worldwide. During your consultation, we'll discuss which option best suits your needs and goals.
